Kids say the Darnest Things 2

One Saturday, when Ty was about 3, he and his dad were hanging out together doing some projects around the house.  They went to run some errands and were gone for quite a while.  When they returned Ty was very excited and ran up to me exclaiming, "Mom! Me and Dad bought some hookers!!!"  My eyes widened and I looked up at Thomas as he very quickly retrieved a package of bungees out of the hardware store bag he was holding to show me.

Kids Say The Darnest Things

I've been wanting to write down some of the outrageous and funny stuff my kids say.  I just never get to it.  This will be a good place to do that.  So I'll have a series of these as I think of them and remember them.  Some of them maybe vulgar or shocking, so read with caution, but that's what makes them so memorable and outrageous and funny.

I'll start with this one:  When Ty was in Sunbeams we were visiting my mom's ward and the primary chorister was teaching the song, "Lord I will follow thee."  She got to the line "pause to lift another," and asked the primary if anyone knew what that meant.  Everyone had a blank look on their face, except Tyler.  He was a tiny Sunbeam sitting in the front row waving his hand frantically.  So she said, "Okay Tyler, what does it mean?"  Ty said, "It means, you have to push pause on your movie and go outside to eat your popsicle."  The chorister got a real kick out of that, she told my mom that apparently I have some strict rules about eating popsicles in the house. ............................. Hey, he is right, it's lifting to me to not have to mop the floor!

SUNBEAMS

So I had a bad Sunday last week and it wasn't because we changed time, I really like our new time.  It's because Eron is now in Sunbeams.  I choked down tears all morning long doing head of hair after head of hair.  Then Tom had to ask me if I was going to be okay!  That was the breaking point, I fell apart.  And I bawled about every little thing all day long.  I think I'm in a better place this week and now I'm able to talk about it without bursting into tears (they just sit behind my eyes stinking now).  No more nursery!  Think about it, it's really quite depressing.  I pushed so hard for Ty to grow up fast that time actually listened to me and goes so much faster now.  I can't seem to make it slow back down!  Eron's b-day is tomorrow and she'll be 4!  If this year goes as fast as last year (which was only two months!) I'm not sure what I'll do.
